Chang Yes Restaurant (Thai Food)

The food is delicious, highly recommend this place. We waited a bit for the food but honestly 100% worth it. The photos don’t do justice to the amazing taste

The Yoshihiro Narisawa of Chang Island - a Michelin rated chef who sniffs out fresh secrets from local markets on a daily basis! We always make it a point to revisit Chang Yes when back on the island, and Yai never disappoints! Be sure to ask for his daily specials though. The busy chef sometimes forgets the A-board! Daily specials: snow fish steak and flank steak block Australian beef with mushy mash and peas, traditional Esarn dip, tzatziki, and sea salt. They don't have it often but we got lucky. Both were to die for - the best snow fish I've ever had! Other typical Thai dishes were equally lovely. Penang chicken with rice, crystal noodle seafood salad, and red wine sauce cashew prawns - all to die for. The cocktails were also a generous treat - with Gypsy Kings in the background!

Fantastic food! Came here with two small kids and instantly realized: we ordered too little. The fried rice caused the first sibling war of the evening, the mango smoothie triggered round two, and the fried banana nearly needed UN-mediation. Pad Thai and papaya salad were spot on. Perfect place if you love Thai food – and enjoy watching your kids fight passionately for every last bite!

That is food the taste you expect while thinking of real, authentic Thai food! Tom Yum was more than perfect, portion was nearly too big And the local espresso is ideal! Owners are inn the servitce, ant that means alot! Wish you all the best!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delicious Thai food made with love – hidden gem! I’ve already been here twice, and every time it’s been absolutely fantastic. You can really taste that the food is made with love – every dish is full of flavor and care. We had the Paneng curry, stir-fried chicken, and chicken satay – everything was super fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. The chicken satay was especially amazing – so tender and the peanut sauce was one of the best I’ve ever had. Prices are great – way more affordable than most places by the beach, but the quality is just as good, if not better. If you’re looking for authentic, traditional Thai food, this is the place. I’ll definitely be back!

Stopped here just by chance. Had chicken satay and my partner had pad kra pao. They were both delicious really succulent chicken and a lovely sayay sauce,ice coffees were great also. I recommend this place

Best experience on Koh Chang! This family restaurant is really very very good, we had dinner here twice already and will go back for sure. Meals are cooked so properly, taste is great and portions are big. We tried tom yum, tom kha, pad Thai, chicken cashew, papaya salad, chicken satay and fresh coconuts for drink, all of these were super great. Service is friendly and hospitable, they make you feel so welcome. Highly recommended place just few minutes walk from Dinso hotel where we stay and also tried some food here at the beach cafe, but Chang Yes meals are even better in my opinion and with much more affordable prices.

The best food we’ve had in Thailand. On both visits I had the chicken with cashew, whilst my partner had the pad thai and prawn penang. The prices are very reasonable and the staff including chef are very attentive; they want to ensure you are happy with the meal which is a great touch. We will be back!
